Key Stage 1 Sports Day, 26th February

This event took part on the school astroturf, the children taking part in 10 different activities.These involved running, jumping, throwing, hockey, football and relay skills. The children competed for their House, Ruwi, Yiti, Ghubra or Bowsher. In each House there were three animal groups made up of Year 1 and 2 children.All the children gained points for participation and places and these points were added together to find the winning House for Key Stage One.

The children's personal bests had been previously recorded in their Physical Education lessons. During the Sports Day the children had a chance to beat their own personal bests and also the Year Group 'bests'. Records that were beaten were?announced and bonus points awarded to their House teams.
The winning House for the Sports Day was RUWI and the department were grateful for the wonderful support from staff and parents.
