click on image to enlargeI was very exhausted and was wide awake in the morning. Some children were chattering noisily in theother tents. I was frustrated because I only got a bit of sleep. I hope we will have a great time today.
First we had a delicious breakfast. Then we went swimming in the sea. The sea was calm like a cat licking milk. It was freezing too, it was as if I was in melted ice. After that, we played volley ball. I smashed the ball and it went just over the net. It was a bit boring as people kept coming to play. Later, we built enormous sand castle. Cyrus, Smason, Maaher and I were really proud. It was magnificent! Some people thought it was a village. Then it was time to go. I was so happy to leave because I can get some rest at home in my cosy bed. Year 3 should go to the Oman Dive centre. It is fun and it will be a great experience.

click on image to enlargeDAY 2: Day 2 of my year 4 camp was PHENOMENAL. We had the choice of swimming in the crystal clear, but freezing sea or doing water games. I chose the water games because it was freezing in the sea. What we did in the water games was fun. What we had to do was run up and down with 1 plastic cup to fill a bucket. We
were split into our house groups. WE WON !!! Then we had to go and pack our bags out of the tent and put them on the multicoloured Wadi Mat which was lying on the golden sand. I felt relived that my parents had come, but sad to be leaving the camp.I think I prefer my comfy bed to a tent ! I would recommend this trip as a fabulous experience to the year threes when they are in year four, because it is good fun, you learn a lot and you make good friends !

click on image to enlargeI took part in the swimming and the sand castle competitions, but when in the middle of making my castle, I had to go to Rebecca’s dad and learn about rocks and special tools that can push into the rocks. I loved the sand castle building the best because I love playing in the sand. Later the whistle blew letting us know it was time to line up to find
out our next activity. I felt very tired in the morning as a boy in the tent next to me seemed to chatter all the time keeping me awake. The camping mattress was also very uncomfortable to sleep on but I loved begin in the tent with my friends. Before bed we had a talent show which was really good fun, my dad was our manager. It was my first time camping in a tent and I wished I could stay another night. I prefer sleeping in my bed because the mattress is thick,
soft and it has my lovely quilt to snuggle up in and the camping mattress is only thin foam. I could feel the hard ground digging into my back, it was not comfy at all !

click on image to enlargeWhen I woke up in the morning it was early !!!! I think it was the excitement that woke me, but it could have been Zian and Rohy’s snoring. After a few minutes when everyone one in my tent was awake we all had a laugh because of Rohy and Zain’s snoring and even Rohy laughed for a bit. We all got dressed at 3:16 but Zain stayed in his PJ’s. Nick and I juggled with the light sticks, it made us laugh and made us tired so we lay down and talked quietly, told jokes and sang songs like the ODC beach song
which we had made up at the talent show.At 6:45 we finally escaped our tents and stretched our legs. Nick, James, Ben,Tom, Kieran, Rohy, Zain and I met to swap our experiences of the night. Then my
whole tent packed our bags, my sleeping mattress and sleeping bag were hard to pack. Packing up was less fun than setting up.The day’s activities started with a sand castle building contest, followed by a talk
on rocks by Mr P. The talk was very interesting but I would have liked to use his tools. The day ended by saying ‘thank you’ to everyone involved and saying ‘goodbye’ to each other. I was glad to be leaving because I missed my mum’s cooking and all the comforts of home. I did have great time !

click on image to enlargeWhen I woke up I felt utterly exhausted. Then we got out of bed and left our tents to have breakfast. I had toast and butter. After breakfast, some of the children went swimming and the rest played volley ball. I was tired so I just watched, it was better than T.V.After that we had a talk from Rebecca’s Dad, who is a hotel designer. There is a plan to knock down the ODC and replace it with a five-star hotel. All the children split up into groups of five or six and we debated whether this was a good thing or not. We decided it would be good for the Omanis who work there but bad for the marine life and possible for the Omani Fisherman. I had a great at the ODC Camp and would definitely recommend it to the Year 3 children.

click on image to enlargeI woke up in the morning and was really tired because I went to bed at 10:00 pm, I was so sleepy.I thought the breakfast was delicious. I had a lovely, brown, crusty croissant. I could feel the croissant falling down my throat like someone was throwing it in my mouth. After breakfast we played an Indian water game with my friends. Mrs.Armstrong helped Yitti. I had a really good time playing it because I love getting soaking wet, and I love how water just slides out of your hand. I loved making the dream sand castle because I like playing in the sparkling, shiny, salty sand. Our castle had beautiful sand turrets around it.I was quite upset about leaving the ODC because I had a really good time playing with my friends. I think the year 3 pupils should go because there were lots of fun activities to do with your friends.
